Gerald Lachter Need Based Scholarship Fund
In memory of ELIJA's dear friend Gerald Lachter PhD, BCBA-D, we have created a need based scholarship fund to allow any student, parent, or caregiver the ability to attend ELIJA's LIBAC (Long Island Behavior Analysis Conference), regardless of ability to pay the full registration fee.
As a staunch supporter of ELIJA's work to promote the science of Behavior Analysis Gerald was excited to participate in all events that supported this cause. What better way to celebrate his legacy than to support others in applying the science of Behavior Analysis to improve the lives of people living with Autism.
Please consider continuing in Gerald' s legacy by making a donation to the fund.
Overview
This fund exists to honor the memory of Dr. Gerald Lachter, our dear friend and colleague.
The fund is held and administered by The ELIJA Foundation, a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization. Donations made through the link above are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and will be directed towards the Gerald Lachter Need Based Scholarship Fund.
A Wonderful Person
Gerald Lachter PhD., BCBA-D, Chair of the Department of Psychology at LIU Post was a kind and humble person and committed to science of behavior analysis. When ELIJA started LIBAC and its networking events, Gerry was excited for the advancement and promotion of behavior analysis on Long Island and was always the first to sign up to all the events we held. Gerry never missed an ELIJA event. He was a dear friend and a wonderful colleague.
Timeline
For as long as the fund will allow, The ELIJA Foundation will award a full or partial scholarship to attend LIBAC, to qualified applicants based on financial need.
