A Wonderful Person
We are deeply saddened at the loss of ELIJA's dear friend Gerald Lachter PhD., BCBA-D, Chair of the Department of Psychology at LIU Post. He was a kind and humble person and committed to science of behavior analysis. When ELIJA started LIBAC and its networking events, Gerry was excited for the advancement and promotion of behavior analysis on Long Island and was always the first to sign up to all the events we held. Gerry never missed an ELIJA event. He was a dear friend and a wonderful colleague. He will be terribly missed.
For as long as the fund will allow, The ELIJA Foundation will award a grant to a promising individual with the following timeline:
The award recipient will be at the annual Long Island Behavior Analysis Conference each year, which takes place in early December.
