Improving the Standard: Be a Better RBT!
This 2-hour workshop is designed for certified Registered Behavior Technicians to improve their skills as RBTs and understanding of applied behavior analysis. Discussion points will include professional and consumer perceptions of certified ABA practitioners, and the impact of varying levels of integrity with service delivery on the field of behavior analysis. The RBT Task List (2nd ed.) will be reviewed and discussed within a functional and academic framework. Application of concepts and skills within the RBT Task List (2nd ed.) will be a central theme. Connecting with colleagues certified as Registered Behavior Technicians will be promoted both during and following this event.
Note: This workshop is not designed to serve as required training hours for the Registered Behavior Technician credential. This workshop is appropriate for RBT as well as other professionals (e.g., SLPs, Special Education Teachers, School Psychologists) and parents who are interested in improving their understanding and application of Applied Behavior Analysis.
