Abstract: According to a 2014 study, New York is a national leader in regards to number of board certified behavior analysts, ranking fourth in the nation with over 1000 certificants (Deochand & Fuqua, 2016). In addition to board certification, licensure in New York has raised ABA to a new professional level. As accessibility to ABA services increases, it is our responsibility to ensure that we maintain quality and integrity in our practice and work together to improve client outcomes. This workshop will focus on the importance of generating strong behavior analysts for Long Island. We will discuss strategies for efficiently and effectively investing in supervisees in order to produce quality outcomes for children and adults with autism spectrum disorders. Additionally, we will explore professional collaboration across agencies in regards to working on multi-disciplinary teams including with BCBAs from various organizations.
