At ELIJA (Empowering Long Island's Journey through Autism) April is Autism Awareness, Acceptance & Action Month!

Employment not only offers compensation for a job well done but also promotes personal growth, social connections, and valuable skill development while providing essential structure. It fosters independence, a deep sense of accomplishment, and belonging. For young adults and adults with autism, meaningful employment is vital to overall well-being and happiness.

With your support, ELIJA is committed to continue to enrich the lives of young adults and adults living with Autism.

Thanks to your generosity last year, we were able to hire three employees for our summer CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) season at ELIJA Farm. These employees worked 10 hours per week over an 18-week season, helping with planting, harvesting, sorting, and preparing weekly shares for 76 local families who benefited from the 2024 harvest.

This year, we hope to expand our impact by employing four individuals for our 18-week summer 2025 CSA program, running from June 10th through October 11th. Your support can help make this possible—join us in creating meaningful opportunities and building a more inclusive future!

This year we are hoping to employ 4 individuals for our 18-week Summer 2025 CSA program - June 10th through October 11th!

Every donation goes directly to support employment for young adults and adults living with Autism. Your donation, of any amount, will directly help someone living with Autism! Together we can transform lives, build self-esteem and truly empower people to achieve their full potential!

A $16.50 donation funds one farmer for one hour at the minimum wage

A $33 donation funds one  farmer for one day (2 hrs per day)

A $165 donation funds one farmer for one full week (10 hrs per week)

A $742.50 donation funds one farmer for one summer month (4 weeks)

A $2,970 donation funds one farmer for the entire Summer CSA Season (18 weeks)
