ELIJA (Empowering Long Island's Journey through Autism) is excited to be hosting our 19th Annual Sy Schwartz Golf Outing on Monday, June 1st, at the amazing Brookville Country Club, Long Island.

Proceeds from this annual event go directly toward improving the lives of the 1 in 36 children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), a condition that is now more common than pediatric cancer, diabetes, and AIDS combined.

While there is no prevention or cure for Autism, research shows that the right support can lead to meaningful improvements and better long-term outcomes. At ELIJA, we work tirelessly to provide each learner with a personalized, high-quality education that builds communication, social, and cognitive skills.

The ELIJA Foundation, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, has been serving parents, educators, professionals, and caregivers since 2002. We offer educational opportunities and training focused on improving the quality of programs and services available to children with Autism. In 2006, The ELIJA School opened to extend this mission and directly support children with ASD. By 2016, we expanded our programming to guide our young learners as they transition into adulthood.

ELIJA’s focus is to empower individuals and families living with ASD throughout their lives. We believe in hope, hard work, and the idea that every child and adult with Autism deserves a real chance, and that their families deserve our commitment, expertise, and support. With the increasing number of young children being diagnosed each year, ELIJA’s services are more important than ever.
