JoAnn Scanlon, MS, BCBA, LBA

JoAnn received her BS in Business Administration from SUNY Albany and her MS in Special Education from Adelphi University. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and a NYS Licensed Behavior Analyst. JoAnn is the co-owner and Executive Director of MKSA LLC, an agency that provides services to children with autism and other developmental delays. She has worked in this field for the last 20 years as a therapist, consultant and administrator. JoAnn is currently an adjunct professor at Adelphi University’s Early Childhood Special Education Program. She has been an active member of both the Nassau County and the Suffolk County Early Intervention (LEICC) Committee on Autism for 16 years and chairs the Suffolk committee. She has presented numerous presentations and workshop for parents and professionals; school districts and the Departments of Health. JoAnn serves on the Board of Directors of the ELIJA School. She volunteers her time to various organizations in support of children with special needs, and professional organizations striving to improve the quality services provided to those children. She is also the parent of an adult son with Asperger’s Syndrome.
